Imperial Winter-Greens (Annual)

It's been go-time since the 1st frost. The deer killing it last fall and winter. Tallest growing brassica plants that I have ever grown. Even with a foot of snow on the ground by Nov. 1st, the deer dug it out.

Nothing but good things to say about Winter-Greens. This year, I need to cage a spot just so I can see how tall it grows. Deer have mowed down 5 acres to the ground. Pretty impressive.

After a conversation with the consultant at Canadian Whitetail Food Plots last summer, he convinced me to plant Imperial Winter-Greens side by side in a 2 acre plot with another seed company that I had been using with limited success. So I planted 1 acre of each brand next to one another. I could not believe how many times during my sits in my stand the deer would walk through the other brand without even putting their heads down rushing to get to the Imperial Whitetail brand! You get amazing attraction and nutrition with these seeds from Whitetail institute. I am a lifetime customer!

Killed a stud of a buck this AM in my snow covered winter-greens brassica plot. This buck has been feeding nocturnally i this 2 acre plot for the past week and made a mistake at 9:05 AM today following a hot doe making her way into the plot. We have had over 10 deer since early October feeding regularly in this plot. Love this brand, my dad and I will be planting more Whitetail Institute plots in the spring.

I planted this mix 3 weeks ago and even with minimal rain in August in my area, it's coming up beautifully and thick. There is going to be lots of tonnage for my herd for the late season. I am so impressed that we will be creating another 1 acre plot during the winter so we can have both perennials and annuals planted for the hunt every year. This is my favorite Annual to plant. It is highly attractive and lasts well into early Winter. As my perennial plots of Imperial Clover and Fusion begin to go dormant usually in mid to late-November, the Brassicas in the Winter Greens take over. There are less deer using my neighbors property and we have seen record number of bucks on our property over the years since we have been planting Winter Greens. Truly an amazing food plot mix. I recommend this blend to everyone I know who hunts Whitetails in Canada.

I have planted many food plots in my years and I have to say that these brassica's are simply irresistible to the deer on my property. I usually plant in early July and my plant get to approx knee high. On years with more rain, we get more height on them. There is usually nothing left in my 4 acre plot by mid-January. I highly recommend this mix, it's easy to grow and your deer will love you for it.

I have tried every brassica blend on the market. Most of them had terrible germination and barely grew. The ones that did grow, the deer barely touched. A friend recommended the Imperial WINA brand and after 2 consecutive years of planting two 1 acre plots, I am totally blown away by how the deer devoured it and how many more deer I now have visiting my property during the late fall season. These plants have unbelievable attraction and once the frost hits, you can smell the herb type scent from a long way. No more skimping on bad seed trying to save a few dollars without any results. WINA is the seed for me!

I’ve had this plot in Winter Greens for 2 years. Both years have had little rain and the plants still do well. Harvested 3 nice bucks on 1.5 acre plot. This stuff is amazing!
